What steps can our church take to prevent child abuse?  What policies should we institute?  How do we develop our local policies?  Come to this workshop to get answers to these questions and more.  Unfortunately, the risk of abuse is a reality that local churches can’t ignore.  This workshop will help you understand the risks, and identify practical steps that can be taken to make your church safe for all.

Cathy's background includes 18 years of experience as an insurance industry leader and executive most recently with the Auto Club Group (ACG), also known as AAA. Cathy brings a strong background in a variety of insurance disciplines. She is an accomplished leader, having directed the efforts of more than 1200 sales professionals with ACG and has proven abilities in implementing innovative business models that result in improved sales and service.

Prior to becoming President, Ms. Green served as a member of the Board of Directors for both the United Church of Christ Insurance Board (UCCIB) and its subsidiary United Church Insurance Company (UCIC) for 8 years. During that time she chaired the board committee on Product and Marketing for several years, and also served as Chair of the Board of UCIC.

Cathy has served as Moderator of the Central & SE Ohio Association of the Ohio Conference of the United Church of Christ (UCC), President, as well as other positions, of the Columbus Business & Professional Women, and various positions within local UCC churches including: Chair of Trustees, Deacon, and Church Council.
