Rev. Dr. Tércio Junker

Dr. Junker is Assistant Professor of Worship and Director of Sweeney Chapel at Christian Theological Seminary.  Both a CTS alumnus and an ordained elder of the Brazilian Methodist Church, Dr. Junker joined the CTS faculty in 2006 immediately after serving as the head of the Liturgy and Arts department at the Methodist Seminary of São Paulo, Brazil.

Dr. Junker’s musical contributions include conducting several ensembles on recordings as well as serving on the Board of Editors for the Book of Liturgical Resources and on the Review Committee for the Book of Worship of the Brazilian Methodist Church. 

He also served as the  World Council of  Churches representative and session facilitator on “Latin-American Contextual Songs” for the 2005 Global Contextual Hymn & Song Workshop for the Church of Norwaym Oslo, and as Member of the Assembly Worship Planning Committee and Assistant Music Director for the 9th Assembly of the World Council of Churches in Porto Alegre, Brazil, from 2004 until 2006.
