Frequently Asked Questions

Why is this Assembly only two days long?

Feedback from the 2006 Regional Assembly in Indianapolis indicated an equal division between those who wanted the Assembly to end on Saturday and those who wanted it to end on Sunday.  Very few people wanted to see the Assembly start on Thursday.  The Time and Place Committee felt it would be worth a try to hold a two-day Assembly this year.

How was Purdue chosen as the site for the 2008 Assembly?

A Time and Place Committee, chosen by the Regional Board, selects the dates and location for each Regional Assembly.  This committee reviewed several possible sites and chose Purdue based on several factors, including the close proximity of housing to the meeting spaces, the economy of the facility, the helpfulness of the Conference and Visitors staff and the centrality of the location.

Are there food options besides the meal programs?

Yes.  The Purdue Memorial Union has a food court with a variety of options.  Also, the area around campus has several eating establishments.
